Enter Wild Run Salmon. I discovered amazing company six years ago, toward the beginning of my Real Food Journey. Matt, the owner, was sampling his fish at an event, and I hesitantly tried it. If you have never tried truly wild salmon from Alaska, you are missing out. This fish had a delicate and rich flavor, highlighted by sea salt and lemon. No weird fishy taste or smell at all. Of course, being the meat hoarder I am (more on that later), I promptly bought 25#.

It all happens very quickly, or at least that how it seems. One morning you wake up feeling rested and refreshed, and the next you awake with an aching back, low energy, purple circles under your eyes and the sneaking suspicion that you actually hadn’t slept at all. If you are at all like me, you quickly run down the list of “could bes”. Was it the awesome workout from the day before? Not likely. Lifting the spoon from the ice cream carton to my lips isn’t what I consider a heavy workout. Maybe it was the yard work I did a couple of days back. It’s the middle of winter so that’s not likely.
